Advent Scriptures to Pray to Prepare Your Heart for Christmas
Hi friend!
The Advent season is just around the corner, can you believe it!?
Advent: (noun) 1. the arrival of a notable person, thing, or event. 2. The season of the Christian church year leading up to Christmas and including the four preceding Sundays.
As wonderful as Advent devotionals can be to help get our hearts and mindsets focused on Christ’s birth at Christmas, there’s nothing like reading and reflecting on and praying God’s Word to prepare our hearts for Christ’s birth.
To help you prepare your heart for Christmas, I made you this printable PDF calendar of Scriptures to pray.
I recommend you download and print a copy so you can start December 1st and read one prayer prompt and the verse or verses listed underneath it each day. There are 24 days of Scripture readings and prayer prompts.
Let any revelations or encouragement or inspiration you receive from the prayer prompt and the verses lead you into a precious time of prayer. If it helps you stay focused, consider writing out the Scripture(s) and your prayer.
May this time of reflecting on and praying God’s Word about the wonder of Jesus’ birth be a blessing to you!
Here’s to embracing life, prayer, and Immanuel together,
